I never write reviews, but need to make an exception for Kyle Valery of the Active Executive. I'm an old guy that had limited flexibility, minimal balance, back pain and daily cramps in my legs. Basically, I had the body of a person 15- 20 years older than my grandfather age. After evaluation Kyle assured me that he could help me. He provided me with a plan which I promptly refused. He wanted me to diet, get on the ground to do stretching exercises, actually do his suggested exercises between my sessions. I don't diet, I hate structure and I have a hard time getting up off the ground. Kyle assured me that he could help me achieve my goals of having normal flexibility, strength and agility along with weight lose even if I put in minimal effort on my part. Also, he would fix my back pain and leg cramps. I figured, why not, he was going to do all of the work. Fast forward to 9 months from my first session. I am a life time believer in his process. Why. Then: Couldn't cross my leg over the other to put on socks without pulling my foot and leg up with two hands. Now: Just swing that leg over no problem...tight hips are a thing of the past. Then: Couldn't touch my hands together when put behind my back, shoulder tightness prevented it even with help. Now: No problem, can grasp my hands together behind my back with ease. Then: Couldn't put on a pair of pants while standing without leaning on a wall for support, basically couldn't balance long enough on any one leg. Now: Can easily balance on either leg and actually do some Yoga poses. Then: Every morning had to roll out of bed because I couldn't sit up without back pain. Now: No issue. What is amazing to me is that I have lost about 15 pounds just by doing the exercises and walking. Kyle designed each exercise so that I would not have to do any on the ground, all are standing or sitting. So even with all of the unreasonable constraints that I placed on Kyle he still came up with a program that meet my restrictions and it worked. But aside from the drills and exercises you would expect from a personal trainer, Kyle provides physical therapy and has done amazing work on my tight joints and muscles. Another bonus is that he is a sports massage therapist who has helped stop my leg cramps and shown me how to do stretches and exercises to keep the muscles loose. Bottomline: When I started seeing the amazing progress despite my limited follow through it motivated me to put in the effort and time to work on the exercises between sessions. I have to thank Kyle for the foundation he has provided for me to maintain flexibility, balance, agility and freedom from tight muscles and back pain for the rest of my life.

Kyle really took the time to connect with me on my goals, what I was looking to accomplish health wise. His attention to detail on correcting my technique, and explaining the physiology behind the work we were doing gave me the understanding I had been searching for for years. Thanks Kyle!

Kyle is a unique and amazing professional. I've referred many people to him, and when they ask me what he does, my reply is usually something like, "He's a fitness expert, a top trainer, a nutritional guru, a full-body consultant, a wellness resource...the person you need to see about all things sports, exercise and health related." People look at me funny and then after consulting with him, call me up and ask, "Why didn't you just tell me he's the most amazing person ever?" He's helped me with strength, endurance, mobility and nutritional guidance, as well as informed me on many subjects I was woefully lacking deep knowledge of. I've completed hundreds of endurance events in the years preceding being introduced to Kyle, and his help is bringing me to new levels across many facets of my overall health, fitness and wellness. I'd urge anyone who is serious about working with an expert who adds true value to your fitness goals, your athletic endeavors, or is the simply your primary health and lifestyle consultant to reach out to Kyle.

I have been working with Kyle Valery as my personal trainer and coach for over 10 years. That longevity speaks volumes! He is so personable, knowledgeable, and encouraging that I was able to really believe in my ability to get fit. With Kyle I went from being very overweight to competing in a body building show (no kidding). In addition to physical training, Kyle is a awesome at keeping me from getting injured. With sports massage, active release, and myofacial release therapies, I always leave a training session feeling strong and inspired. Not only is Kyle a personal trainer that keeps current on the latest research and techniques, he also has a degree in nutrition so he can provide his clients the full fitness\wellness spectrum. As a registered dietitian myself, I can fully appreciate how valuable this knowledge is and how critical to the overall fitness picture. I have encountered many other San Diego personal trainers, and I know I have the very best one in my corner! Thanks Kyle!!

Kyle is THE BEST fitness and nutrition coach you can find in San Diego! He changed my life!! Hes not only a personal trainer and a certified nutritionist but a true professional on his field. I was having many challenges with my weight and overall health due to food allergies and intolerances. They were also affecting my lifestyle and personal relationships. My busy travel schedule made it even worse. I was frustrated, overweight and in a very bad shape. The doctors were good at telling me what the problems were but not on how to fix them. I decided to look for professional help and luckily found Kyle through a personal trainer who listened to my case and said only an advanced certified trainer like Kyle could help me. He not only created a very personalized nutrition and fitness plan for me but taught me everything I needed to know about nutrition and fitness to succeed. He kept me encouraged and focused on the main goal, my long term wellbeing . After a couple of months, I had lost the extra weight and learned how to successfully manage all my food challenges. I was in the best shape of my life and I continue to be up to this day. In addition, he also helped me with some sport related injuries through active release and sport massages. Kyle is just the full package! An incredible caring and dedicated professional.
