After working with many, many therapists/psychologists in NYC, the Bay Area, and now in Southern California, I have never found anyone who can hold a candle to Dr. Gilbert. She is absolutely incredible and if I had met her 25 years ago, my life would probably look so much different for the better. In the 2 years I have worked with her, I have been able to change my life because of the efficient, empowering, thought-provoking, non-judgmental, cross-disciplinary, attentive, compassion and perspective she offers. Dr. Gilbert really sees me and she really hears me. She is exceptional and I wish there were more therapists like her practicing. I am so grateful I finally found her. If you have a therapist you're on the fence about, keep looking. Having a good therapist makes a HUGE difference. Don't settle for "Ok" or "better than the last one." Having good therapy is quickly life-changing. With her humanistic approach, progress is made in every session with Dr. Gilbert. Just the fact that I can openly write a review about my psychologist is a testament to the comfort I feel in my own skin, finally. I did not have such comfort or confidence 2 years ago.
