Montessori School-Kearny Mesa

Worse possible staff ever, promised they would work with my child, because he is going through a hard time with his mother and I getting a divorce. The week he goes it's pouring rain  and in the 40s-50s and cold so couldn't go outside. They are unwilling to work with anyone unless there are no issues. Don't make false promises if your not willing to work with them. I'm tired of all these daycares being more money hungry saying we only have the minimum staffing requirement by the state and can't handle it. What ever happens to actually working with the kids to make sure they learn and grow and do what ever you can help?

Love love love this school. My son has been there for about a year now.The teachers are attentive and personable- my son has blossomed in so many ways. Highly recommend this school!

My daughter went to this preschool for almost 2 years, and we loved it. The teachers are all very kind and helpful, and really love the kids. They were always understanding about absences and my daughters health issues and allergies. My daughter has since moved on to kindergarten, but we still visit from time to time so she can see her teachers.

We LOVE the MSKM! We have enrolled my daughter in a Montessori school that is no longer open. When they decide they were closing their door we had less than a month to find care. In all of my crazy scrambling we stumbled upon the Montessori School of Kearny Mesa. From my first call to them I felt completely comfortable.  The director Ms Amitha told me to come when ever to check it out so I went the same day after work. We found them at the perfect time as they were having a family move so they had spots open for both my daughter 2.5 at the time, and my son 6 months. Both of my kids have felt comfortable from day one. My daughter would get so upset leaving her at the prior school but now LOVES to go to school. Her teachers are amazing. She she started she was being sent to speech therapy and still goes now(over a year) but her teachers work with her and she has blossomed into an amazing young lady with their guidance. My son has battle ear infections for months. The teachers in his room would call me when he would start showing his tell tale symptoms. They know his symptoms! They are so caring and kind to all the children there. Both of my kids are always happy when they come home. And as a parent, knowing my kids are being taken care of while I'm at work is an amazing feeling. When we leave San Diego I am seriously going to miss this wonderful group of teachers! This place is a godsend. I would rate them a million stars if I could!

This school was a lifesaver.  I took our 5 year old son out of another school during mid-school year because the cookie cutter, one size fits all approach was not right for him.  He was angry and anxious all the time. Kearny Mesa Montessori took us in and slowly, his stress went away and his social behavior got increasingly better.  Since then, he's regained his confidence and has built a solid foundation towards making the transition into First Grade next year at a new school.  Special thanks to Ms. Veranja for taking such good care of our little boy and for having the patience to truly understand him.  Many thanks to Ms. Amitha as well for being so engaging and on top of things pertaining to our needs.
