image Knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about what they do. My PT Emily quickly assessed what what going on and guided me to improving my care regiment with simple exercises, to address pain and round-out my movement exercises. I would definitely go back to RISE for future issues. Desk staff is perfectly nice, and accommodating, and appointments were generally timely and convenient.

image I have been going to Rise Physical Therapy for nearly two years for treatment of a vestibular disorder. They have struggled to get my treatment approved by insurance nearly the entire time. During that time, I received multiple denials from my insurance carrier stating that the physician had "failed to provide records."
After an initial treatment period of five months, they abruptly stopped scheduling me for the next five months while they tried to get my insurance to approve further treatment. Finally, at my neurologist's urging, they began seeing me again without insurance.
During that time, they handed my care off multiple times, usually to student therapists. Eventually my care was transferred to a newly licensed therapist. She frequently referenced her "experience" treating vestibular patients, even though she had just begun practicing. On several occasions she offered unsolicited advice about how I should feel or think about my condition. When I became uncomfortable with her offering these opinions and expressed my discomfort, she became argumentative.
A few months ago they decided they needed to proceed with another insurance claim. Again, they struggled to get my treatment approved and told me that I was only approved for two more visits. When I expressed concern about this, my therapist stated that I should "not rely on physical therapy."
When I told her I was uncomfortable with that, she became very tense and dismissive. The following week, the clinic manager, Brad, left a voicemail claiming "there had been multiple complaints from his staff and patients" about those conversations and that I was not welcome to schedule further appointments. I returned his call to go over these issues, but he never called back.
If you want a physical therapist who treats you with respect and cares about continuity of treatment, you won't find it here.

image I had the opportunity to work with Jordan at Rise in Pt. Loma. I was referred to her by my Neurologist whom I see for vertigo. I periodically am afflicted by the devastating effects of vertigo with spinning, dizziness, nausea and balance issues. Jordan worked with me for 5 sessions and in that time I was able to work on the motions that bring this on. She was attentive, knowledgeable, patient and a pleasure to work with. I was given practice work at home which helps me day to day.
I highly recommend Jordan. Susan Mooradian
