This dentist does not take insurance up front, and instead goes through a third party to bill your expenses. Whats bad about that is I went in for a deep cleaning that they originally said would be covered and reimbursed to me by my insurance. This was not the case. They dont bill your insurance until after the treatment is done, and it turns out my insurance DIDNT cover what the ladies at the desk said it would cover. I was left with nearly $1200 to pay for what was claimed to be covered by insurance. I never would have gone through with this had I been aware my insurance would not cover it, and that was only relayed to me AFTER treatments were done. My advice - be sure that if they recommend something other than a routine dentist check up, ask your insurance directly if this is covered. Or, instead go to a dentist that already runs your insurance so they know your bill wont be drastically different than what you were told you were going to pay. My one pro: the hygenists did a great and thorough job. I have nothing against the care I was given, but ultimately the billing mix up is what turned me away from coming back to this dentist.

This place is so friendly and professional! I went in as a new patient for an exam and they treated me like family! They got my exam and cleaning right away and my teeth felt so new and fresh. The front desk, dental assistant, hygienist, and dentist were seriously the best! Will definitely be returning for my next cleaning. Thank you SO much! :)))

I am a chicken when it even comes to getting my teeth clean and not only does the hygienist make me feel comfortable, I know that I am cared for and of course everything is pain free. I love going to the dentist, seeing the staff and just being able to walk out there with pearly whites. The dentist is not only amazing, he is funny, truly cares about his patients and also wants to make sure the patient is comfortable in every way. Karen is a hoot and always makes you laugh!! I would recommend Balboa Dentistry to ANYONE looking for a dentist! Coming here is the greatest decision anyone could make!!
