The Monsaraz San Diego, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

I traveled with my husband while he was on a work trip, so I was often solo. The hotel is within walking distance of the harbor. I had plenty to do when the sun was shining. Our final day it rained. Regardless of the rain, the Monsaraz San Diego has a relaxed vibe with an inviting lobby. I spent the afternoon people watching from their amazing swing chair. Food & drinks: I had a hard time pulling myself away from breakfast at the hotels restaurant. Top-notch wait-staff, incredible ambiance of the courtyard, and delicious avocado toast. It was a perfect way to start off my day.

Good location if want to walk right across to harbor or need to get to bus. Has quite a few restaurants close by and good coffee shop across the street. Not close by downtown, but easy to get to from airport & has parking available. Able to hold bags if arrive early. Folks at front desk helped & were friendly. Room clean, nicely setup - quite large room and bathroom.

Poor customer service by supervisor, Sandra. Very confrontational, passive aggressive, and called me a liar even though I was promised several follow up calls by her colleagues throughout the day. I would advise to not stay at this property at all costs if this is how they treat their patrons.
