They havent disbursed our money that the judge ordered last year. Its been over 6 months and victims havent gotten a penny while the funds are in their hands. They dont give us any information and refuse to give us an accurate timeline. They dont seem to care or have any regards about the victims and have left us in the dark ever since the court hearings. Its an absolute disgrace how slow and unprofessional theyve been regarding these issues and no one even reaches out to us to keep us updated - even when we call, we get very vague responses from the clerks and treat us with very little value

The courthouse parking guard told me to park across the street at the meter, that I would be allowed to leave every two hours to repay (2 hour limit at meters). I asked if he was sure, because I was here for jury duty. He said yes, absolutely. He was WRONG. After navigating a block of construction and labyrinthine ramps, I found the jury check-in, where I was told I could NOT leave every two hours, so my car would be towed if I didnt move it, thereby making me late for service. The lady also told me to park at Horton Plaza and gave some directions how to get there. What she did NOT tell me was that there are two entrances, and one of them, the closest entrance and most expensive of the two, does NOT accept courthouse validation. So now I am out $20 for driving an hour to get here, and now its 12:30, and nothing has happened. I am sitting here watching the giant TVs, and high are playing commercials including POLITICAL PROPAGANDA for some of the CA propositions on the ballot. That does not seem right to me, to have a captive audience for a federal jury exposed to political ads for only on side of the issue. I was all ready to do my civic duty. Now Im just irritated that actual employees dont know what theyre talking about. Really frustrated.

They never answer their phone even during between their scheduled business hours. No wonder why people hate jury duty. Not worth the stress of dealing with incompetent judicial system.

Please more hearings by Virtual! they are more convenient for the public since your staff eats up all the public parking! It's impossible for people to make it to their hearings around these courthouses because there is never parking. This is why all courts should be obligated to let the public and parties attend by virtual.
