I attended CEC during my 4 years of undergrad as part of their college fellowship, which was called LIFE. They meet on Friday nights and have small groups mid-week. I really enjoyed my time there as part of LIFE, but I particularly appreciated getting to know the older brothers and sisters during my 4th year there. The church family was very welcoming. Most importantly, I grew in my faith during my time there and I believe it was, at least in part, due to CEC's commitment to solid doctrine combined with a willingness to try new ways to help its members know God more deeply.

This church has been my home for the past seven years. I first found this church through friends' recommendations in anticipation of starting school at SDSU. My time in the college fellowship, LIFE fellowship, was a beautiful and special time where I lived life with faithful brothers and sisters, was lovingly poured into by uncles and aunties at CEC, and grew tremendously in my faith. God used CEC to help me to lay down a strong foundation based on God's truth as a new believer, experience Christ-like selflessness, grace, and generosity through the service of everyone in the church, and grow in my desire and fire to honor the Lord with all that I do, say, and am. I'm thankful to God for having led me as a college freshmen to such a solid community, where He continues to pour into me and grow me in my faith to this day.

I've been a long time member of CEC, having attended this church since the 90s. It's a great place to worship and serve God as well as develop meaningful relationships with other believers. Like any other church, it's not perfect, but I met my wife here and together we've raised 2 kids. The relationships we've built have been and continue to be foundational for everyone in my family. And while many of us have Chinese ancestry, others among us come from a range of ethnicities, including Caucasians, Koreans, African American, and Latino. We also have services in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. If you're looking for a new home to worship God and be a part of a community of Christians, i hope you'll come and visit us either online or in person!  NOTE: our current in person capacity is limited to under 30 due to COVID concerns, but hopefully that changes soon!
