I can't find any joy in writing a root canal review. It was long and very uncomfortable but I have to give Dr. Orton kudos for being very thorough and professional. He clearly explained the issues and provided the options to repair and save the tooth. I didn't experience any major pain and the tooth healed (no infection) itself within 2 weeks as explained. I hope you don't but if you need a root canal, contact Dr. Orton and he'll take good care of you.

I'm really surprised that Dr. Orton does not have more reviews! I was referred to Dr. Orton by a well-received oral surgeon. Dr. Orton is a very nice and skilled endodontist. He takes time to treat his patients and address questions patiently. His office is very nice and clean. His assistants are all polite. I heard lots of bad experience with root canals before I did it myself with Dr. Orton, including one from my husband! I was amazed that did not feel any pain my root canal with Dr. Orton and I did not need any pain medication. I could eat a salad 3 hours (even my mouth was still kind of numb) after my root canal. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Orton if you need a root canal.

Never look forward to a root canal, but always thankful Dr. Orton is performing it. He makes your visit as comfortable as possible. Explaining as he goes, he is the best!

About as painless as a root canal can possibly be. I never took any painkillers afterwards. They used several techniques in my mouth, such as a dam and a kind of shim in my teeth to hold them open, that actually made the experience relatively relaxing.

Dr. Orton and his staff are top notch from start to finish. My 12 yr old daughter had an accident and broke a tooth and needed a root canal ASAP. They scheduled her next morning and made her feel completely at ease as soon as we walked in the door. He obviously is a professional in all ways. She was done in 40 minutes! We even had a follow up call from his wife that works in the office to make sure my daughter was doing ok. I highly recommend Orton Endodontics. I hope we never have to return but if you ever need a root canal don't hesitate to see him.
