Made me feel at ease about my medical condition. He is very knowledgeable and explains things that are simple enough for me to understand. My wife really appreciated that he works with us to come to decisions. My surgery went well and I'm now about 2 years from my procedure and have to say things are going extremely well. I've been able to get a part our lives back that we had thought we had lost. Thank you Dr. Patel!!! KS

I cannot thank Dr. Patel enough. I previously had a inflatable penile implant placed in New York City over 3 years ago. For nearly 2 years I was told by the original surgeon, it just was not what I expected (cylinders felt uneven and pain with using the pump). I was told multiple times that this was normal and I had a "good" outcome. It just didn't sit right with me. I went to see Dr. Patel for a second opinion. He was clearly able to explain what was likely going on and how we could address it. He was very frank and I liked that. I underwent revision surgery with Dr. Patel, where the implant was removed and replaced. Even 3 weeks after surgery pain was minimal and with starting to pump the device I wasn't having the pain I experienced before. I've been using the device now with my wife for last 6 months and we are very satisfied with the outcome. We are glad to have that part of our relationship back.

Saw Dr. Patel recently for penile curvature and Peyronie's Disease. I previously had Xiaflex injections through another provider. It was a nightmare and ultimately did not work. what was most frustrating was this other provider would not listen to my concerns and did not feel he could offer me anything else, leading me to feel that i should just deal with it! After checking out a few forums, Dr. Patel's name came up as a new provider in San Diego. I was able to get an appointment to be seen fairly quickly and the experience exceeded my expectations. Dr. Patel listens to you and takes the time to answer your questions. He laid out my options and was very realistic with me after my ultrasound. I am scheduled for surgery soon and feel I am in great hands.
