It is a fun time, great atmosphere, wonderful hosts and even if you don't meet the person of your dreams it will still be a night of laughs and great convo.I hecka recommend!

I had a positive experience but contrary to what other people have said here, it's no different from going to a bar to meet people. There is a pay-wall but there is no in depth background check, detailed advice or in depth match-up [EXPECT NOTHING]. I talked to one gentleman who went to 3 different events and no one ever showed any interest in him. No one ever told him what he was doing wrong. I know that feeling. Your best bet is to go with no expectations and use the experience to get a better idea of what personality attributes you don't want in a date, how to read cues and how to practice rejecting people . Don't be surprised if you meet someone there who only does this to practice speaking English. It's a brilliant idea and I am jealous that I didn't think of that first.

Brand new to San Diego, moved here a few months ago and have yet to meet one person to hangout with. :-( I tried the online dating sites with no luck, it doesn't actually seem like there are real people on them. I did hear that on a lot of the Online sites, there are a bunch of fake profiles and marketers that pretend like they are real people to keep you interested and convince you to subscribe. But who knows, right? So ran across a San Diego Speed Dating Company called Cloud9, and thought this had to to a joke. Ive only seen it in the movies and it seemed ridiculous, but guess what, i signed up anyways because of all the great reviews and what have i got to lose right. It did seem like an awesome concept to get to meet 10-15 like minded singles in one night, heck yea! Was i nervous, yesssss. But 1 glass of wine and i was good. To make a long story short, it was a great evening! Met some others that were also new to SD, and met some cute intelligent women that im looking forward to seeing next week. If nothing becomes of it, im sure ill make some great friends and i will definitely try Speed Dating again and get off the dating "creepy" sites. I would highly recommend this company without a doubt.
