When my husband and I decided to see Craig Carlson, it was at the advice of my best friend who had been his client for many years. We had been married for twenty-five years and had a daughter rather late in the game, when I was thirty-eight and he was forty-five. The year had been overwhelming in so many ways. My husband was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer. Our daughter quit college and announced that she wanted to be there for her dad and drive him to his radiation and chemotherapy appointments so that I could continue to work. We were in the middle of a huge remodel of our home. In the middle of all of this, my dad, whom I was extremely close to, was diagnosed with ALS and passed away suddenly after being married to my sweet mom for over sixty years. Our lives were, quite literally, turned upside down. We needed someone to give us some perspective and reassurance that there was some light at the end of the tunnel. Craig Carlson did that and so much more. I have seen several therapists throughout my life, and can truly say that Craig Carlson is the only person that I feel was truly vested and sincerely cared about helping my husband and I find our way out of our trials.
