Abiding Place Ministries

This group can be more accurately described as a harmful organization rather than a church. CULT. The extended meeting we attended was unsettling, as the atmosphere seemed to discourage anyone from leaving out of fear of reprimand and public humiliation. The leader, ( Mark ) displays narcissistic traits, has convinced himself and a small following that he is on par with Jesus and that whatever he says needs to be obeyed even if it causes harm (financial emotional etc). Constant emphasis on his supposed "anointing" and superiority was evident, backed by a plethora of scripture to manipulate emotions and show his academic pedigree. This environment is emotionally abusive and manipulative. The public prayer sessions were distressing, as individuals were subjected to public embarrassment and belittlement. Yes Jesus was harsh with Peter when he called him satan for trying to hinder the cross, but that was one time and it was justified. Jesus was open and inclusive with his life and with his ministry. He didn't belittle anyone. He didn't call people fat from the pulpit and shame them. The behavior witnessed during prayer calls, including one instance of physical hitting and verbal degradation of attendees, was shocking and unacceptable. The lack of intervention from others and the young man's apparent distress in one instance I witnessed highlights a distressing lack of boundaries and respect within this community. There are many healthier church communities in San Diego that prioritize discipleship and truly following Jesus. Within the leadership, it is evident that their actions do not align with genuine biblical values. The lack of accountability and transparency, coupled with the authoritarian mindset adopted by the leader, paints a troubling picture of power dynamics within the group. It is evident that he has a ton of trauma that spews over onto to everyone around him. it's important for individuals considering involvement with this group to exercise caution and prioritize their well-being. If you're thinking about visiting this place.. don't. If you're thinking about leaving this cult but are afraid to.. just leave. You don't need anyones permission. You will be ok. John 16. He'll guide YOU into the truth. Truth is a person. That person is Jesus. Matt 7 verses 15 and 16 describe this place and the leadership. "Beware of false prophets/pastors who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, the way they act.." I think you could even say "by the way they treat others" How have you been treated ? Abinding place = cult that uses witchcraft to control and trap people. RUN!

My husband and I have been looking for a church in Ramona and nothing has felt right. We were invited to join Abiding Place Ministries. We had a wonderful time. It was exactly what we've been looking for. The pastor had fire and conviction behind his voice and spoke striaght from KJV. It was not a mundane experience like the other churches. Also the music was great and easy to sing along with. And our son loved the nursery. It felt like home, and was a very loving and welcoming environment. We will definitely be coming back for more.

Most amazing and holy spirit filled church! All the leaders of the church are an example and Jesus can truly be seen in them! This is truly a family where the body of christ is represented. Thanks be to this church because I was taken out of darkness into the light! This new life in christ Jesus and I am very thankful to have found this Family!
