On my quest to attend mass in every church in San Diego County, I went to St. John yesterday. Nestled amidst the bustle of the city, St. John radiates a quiet warmth that draws you in like a gentle hug. The first thing that strikes you is the abundance of friendly faces. Gone is the anonymity of larger churches; here, everyone seems to know each other, and a newcomer is welcomed like a long-lost friend. The service itself is a testament to the church's dedication to its congregation. The pace is deliberate, allowing time for quiet reflection and mindful participation. The pastor's message is delivered with warmth, offering words of comfort and guidance that resonate deeply with the life experiences of his flock. And then there's the parking. Oh, the glorious parking! In a world where finding a spot near a church can feel like winning the lottery, St. John's boasts a vast, well-maintained lot that eliminates the pre-service stress. No more circling endlessly, no more hurried walks from distant streets. Just pull in, park with ease, and join the warm embrace of this welcoming community.
