Horrible customer service: bad phone system, poor follow up, more excuses than solutions, they acted like they were doing me some favor yet the "2 week" promise turned into 9 weeks and I went to a place less run down and far more helpful.

Trying to make an appointment from last 2 days, after long waits someone is taking the call and suggesting to call after as the persn responsible for appointments are busy in a meeting and will revert back in 24hrs. but the 24hrs never finished from 2 days.

Audiologist Charity seemed rush and closed my chart within  2 minutes of my appointment. She gave no options for hearing aids or even ask if there were concerns with my current hearing aid. I felt the need to be an advocate and shared these feelings with her in the moment. I told her that she seemed rushed and wasn't taking the time to address my concerns with my current hearing aid. Charity became even more condescending. At the moment, the best option for me was to cut the appointment short and to politely ask to reschedule with another audiologist. Empathy and compassion to hear your patients is crucial and unfortunately Charity missed the mark and was very insensitive.

I've been going to the office in Coronado for the past two years, and my experience with Ivette and Manny have been wonderful. A stark contrast with my experience with the receptionist and hearing aid tech in the Chula Vista office. Unfortunately, when I called two weeks ago to set up an appointment, I was told Manny was moved to another location, and someone else would take his place. Today I took my special needs sister for an appointment to fix her existing hearing aids and get fitted with new ones. The audiologist, Charity, meeting my sister for the first time never bothered to introduce herself and never bothered to tell her what they would be doing at this appointment. Charity was cold as the temperature in the room.  She looked into my sister's ears and said she had a lot of ear wax and suggested that I buy some OTC solutions. I thought it was weird since she just saw her ENT the week before and both ears had been cleaned out. Aside from that, my sister has two perforated ear drums and sticking any kind of liquids in her ears would be a good recipe for an infection. When I tried to ask her a question, she got defensive and immediately was like "we can end this session and have you seen by another provider". I was blown away! What... i'm not allowed to ask questions?? Then proceeds to tell me I have an attitude and she didnt want to have a bickering session. I'm in the twilight zone!! When I tried to speak, she talked right over me! I told her I did not appreciate her talking over me and to allow me to finish my sentence. But I guess she did not hear me literally and figuratively speaking, as she continued to talk over me. We all have bad days, but when you are at work, keep it professional. The best thing that happened out of this appointment is when she said the office would call me once the new hearing aids were delivered and we would be seen by Manny. Manny is professional, pleasant, and informative. He was super kind and patient with my special needs sister, which speaks to his character. From my experience, it is hit and miss with Sonus' personnel. I highly suggest the company spend money on customer service training for all their employees.
