Hang Loose Pressure Washing

If this young man comes knocking on your door, politely say no. My husband and I were impressed by Travis's willingness to build his business that we gave him an opportunity. As the saying goes no good deed.... Travis arrived at 4pm, by 7pm it was getting dark, he finished at 8:30pm. We gave him an extra tip for his willingness to see the job through BUT Travis underestimated the time needed to do the job he quoted, which was, all organic growth removed, treat with a 7-year warranty protector, property rinse, and debris removal, all 4 were not done completely. Yes, the roof had 10 years worth of dirt and grime, that's why we hired him for this service. After leaving I went outside and my whole yard and driveway were covered in dirt and clay from the tile roof. My car in the garage was covered, we still can't figure that one out. I spent an hour in the dark doing what I could see and then we woke up to the pictures below. We contacted Travis first thing this morning to ask when he would be back out to finish the job? Such as washing off the grime from the house, driveway, and power washing the side tiles that are the most visible. We received no sorry or I'll be out today to correct this issue, what we received were excuses. It was dark, I can't come today because I need to knock on doors to gain more business (instead of taking care of the customer he had), I don't have the pressure washer....I rent it, (but he charges over $1,110 for a one-man 3-4 hour job with little overhead, using your water, but can't buy the equipment or rent for the full week in case an issue arises).... the excuses went on and on. Forget about the 7-year warranty promised how about complete the job. So I say proceed with caution. It took us the better part of the day to clean up this mess and cost us $1,200 for a whole lot of trouble. Because I can't respond to Travis' post I will add: The proof is in the photos!! I agree the top of the roof looks good but the sides and mess left behind were more trouble than the work done. Yes, we wanted a resolution quickly as mud is being tracked throughout our yard, house, and cars (we also have dogs that are in the dirty backyard). You did work an hour in the dark (this is poor time management on your part) you're scheduling did not allow for the job to be completed satisfactorily to the customer's needs or concerns. We did not demand or even ask for the service to be done yesterday, you came to us as you had a cancelation and as we found out later your rental equipment needed to be returned. I'm sorry Travis this was not handled correctly we as business owners ourselves know that the customer's concerns and satisfaction are paramount. In this case, you wanted to solicit more business today rather than correct/complete the job already paid in full.
