We stopped by after 5 pm to drop off some dry cleaning after the first order came back and they did a great job! They are very nice and they do a great job with basic dry cleaning. I haven't tried them for gowns or tuxedos yet. Bf likes the way his shirts came out. He said the owner is lovely!

Most of these reviews are years old, here’s one from 2023. I have been using this dry cleaner since he opened. There were times when he could not get what I needed done (especially on a Friday) but was happy with the quality of the service overall. But as consumers…we pay and they provide the service, it is only when there’s a problem that we see the actual nature of the business owner and in this case…it was like Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.I always saw the owner’s smiles when I walked in. I took it personally, as a compliment. This made me like him. He’d take my pile of clothes and I’d leave with my order stub. Days later we’d repeat this routine, I’d pay him and leave with a bunch of clothes on hangers. We did this countless times over many years. The last time I went there…I picked up orders numbered 26231 and 26231. When I arrived at home, my wife discovered a third order mixed in with our clothes. Realizing he had accidentally included an order belonging to another customer, I quickly returned to Ocean’s Cleaners to return it. It was the right thing to do and when the owner appeared embarrassed by the mistake, I told me, “Don’t be too hard on yourself, you’re like 70% water.” We both laughed and I left. Now the reason we had two order numbers was because my wife needed a couple of pairs of work pants on Monday…the rest of the pile of clothes would be picked up days later. But one Monday my wife became ill and missed work for a few days, so I picked both orders up at the same time. This is when it became apparent a pair of pants was missing. When my wife returned to Ocean’s Cleaners to inquire about this the owner flipped from Jekyll to Hyde, raised his voice and accused her to lying. He flipped out. My wife isn’t a liar, and these were not expensive pants. Cheap $40 Rekucci pants we buy by the dozen on Amazon for use while working in our commercial kitchen. But from the explosive response from the owner, you’d have thought it was one of her $1,000.00 Ralph Lauren tuxedo shirts or something. He blew up!You never know a person’s true character until there’s a problem and we already understood how he could lose clothes…we had just spared another one of his customers from experiencing this. While his negligence can be excused as accidental, his irate behavior and poor handling of this situation cannot. God help you if he botches or loses something of value that you care about. Maybe this is why he hands you stubs without writing in the in number of items you left?Had he handled the matter like a calm, decent human being…we would have worked it out and we would continue to use this dry cleaner but because his reaction was one of uncontrolled rage and distain, we will never return. We are stunned by the tone and veracity exhibited by this man…how quickly he became unhinged over a $40 pair of work pants. OMG! Get some couch time!So now you know…when this guy smiles at you when you enter…he’s not smiling at you, he’s smiling at the pile of clothes you’re carrying and the money you’ll pay after handing over your order stub. You as a person mean nothing. Even if you’ve been a customer for a great many years. I think this may be why I seemed to be the only customer there every time I returned to Ocean’s Cleaners in recent years. Maybe he’s losing customers as quick as his temper. At any rate, you’ve been warned. When he screws up, he’ll blame you…loudly and aggressively. It’s just a matter of time. The whole encounter left us just feeling sad. We’re still shaking our heads about it.

Before the pandemic I dry cleaned as much as I washed my clothes at home.  I was a once a week or sometimes twice a week dry cleaner user.   Times have changed due to COVID but recently I've been going back into the office so my dry cleaning has picked up.   I tried Ocean's this past week as I pass by it regularly so it's convenient.   Honestly was going to give them a 2 star but feel bad as I realize it's a family business.  I hate to do it but I'm giving it a 3 star for mainly because the lack of transparency of the price especially when you drop off.   I literally got the stub receipt with the number of items I dropped off and was told when it would be ready by.  And I normally don't care to even look but when I picked up my clothes I was surprised with the itemized bill. It's definitely on the very high end.  Surprised because I'm reading these other reviews where everyone says the prices are fair.   The dry cleaning itself was good but nothing more or less than or expected.  The turnaround is about the same.  I dropped it off on a Friday and got it Wednesday.   The text notification is definitely a plus.  So from my receipt suits cost $20 to clean, sweaters $12, pants $7, and shirts $3.75.   From Like I said the only knock on this cleaner is the price and transparency.   For me there's a couple other options across the street and there are a couple other options by the office.
