Dr. Youngrim Kim, DDS

So today I called Medi-Cal today to ask them what dentists I would be covered to see. They looked up my ID number and asked me how old I am. They gave me a list of 3 dentists located close to where I live. I called Dr. Kim and the woman who answered the phone was very rude. She insisted that Medi-Cal would not cover me because I am over the age of 21. I tried to assure her that Medi-Cal would indeed cover my visit. She just kept telling me "No! No!" To top this all off, I called Medi-Cal back to tell them that they gave me false information. I let them know how rude the woman on the phone was and how she would not make me an appointment because I am over the age of 21. They told me that Dr. Kim is listed as a general practice dentist. They also told me that Dr. Kim has to let Medi-Cal know that they won't accept Medi-Cal patients over 21. In other words, if you have Medi-Cal and you're over 21, don't even call Dr. Kim. They will only be rude and a headache!

Recently visited Dr. Kim for the first time for a regular cleaning and then returned twice to take care of cavities (hadn't been in six years - yikes!)  I made appointments without problems - they even got me in on the day I called.  They made sure I understood what my cost would be and what insurance would pick up.  I was giddy after all three appointments because I really just couldn't believe what a pleasant experience I had each time.  Very gentle and efficient, made sure I was comfortable and had a non-verbal sign to use in case of discomfort.  I highly recommend!
