I had a severe lower back pain going for over 2 weeks with the condition worsening daily disabling me entirely. Pills could only do so much by providing a 3-4 hourly relief. This was end of life for me as yoga and daily active routine is a must for me. After a thorough examination and consideration of the previous diagnostic imaging findings, Dr. Tarasenko diagnosed me with lumbar disc extrusion. A right sided lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injection was performed very shortly after the initial examination. After 2 procedures, I was completely pain free without any pain killers or heavy drugs. I really admire dr Tarasenko for his professionalism and meticulous attention to detail, impressed with knowledge and experience. Im active again. Thank you everyone at Elkhorn Center!

I am beyond impressed with how I was treated for the first time at apmi center. And frankly I didn't know that my chronic lower back and the hip pain can be taken care of. I was always told to avoid a surgery and keep taking the pain suppressants. These guys took their time to educate me, explain the treatment options to fix my problem. I personally want to spread the word about dr Lal, who really knows his work! It was truly a great experience for me, I had first treatment on my first visit, no time wasted. On my second visit I knew there gonna be a huge change in how I feel, I just sensed it. Besides my back pain is gone, I am feeling much more energetic and capable to move around! I have seen almost 6 specialists for the pain that I've been experiencing in my lower back and have seen dozens of doctors over the years for other injuries. I have got to meet Dr. Lal as a new pain doc in Sacramento area and the single best doctor I have ever had. He took extensive time to talk both me and my husband through my complicated diagnosis, the implications of it, and the next steps. He was honest with me about the severity of my injury, and the drugs I was on. He was also able to convey the info in a way that was direct but not stressful and change my mind about the drugs. The second procedure got me back on my feet. Fascinating experience!

I am relieved that I went to this place. I was seen by dr Lal for my back pain. He helped me get the right treatment, no pills, but the actual treatment. After years of pain, I am finally seeing results with a real doctor.
