Hello Tymofii,We take any negative reviews seriously and due to that we have thoroughly investigated this matter and the accusations that you have placed against us both on this review and on the review that you left us from your second account. We did not fail your vehicle for the smog check due a “scratch on the bumper” as this has nothing to do with your vehicle’s emission system. Your vehicle failed the smog check due to broken front grill shutters, [an emissions related component] which appears to have been caused by a previous front-end accident. Per the smog check manual section 1.3.5 Visual Inspection Definitions, the condition of this component is considered a tampered result since it falls under the category of being either missing, modified, or disconnected. You can also refer to the California Code of Regulations 3340.41.5 to better understand why your vehicle failed the smog check. You also had a brake and lamp inspection performed on your vehicle in which it failed for the driver front brake line being damaged and leaking brake fluid as well as a missing lug nut. Per CCR 1245 (F)(5) your brake lines must be installed in a manner that that ensures proper continued functioning and that are free of leaks, constrictions, and other defects. Unfortunately, the brake line on your vehicle is damaged and leaking, therefore it does not conform to this law from the state of California. We did offer you a subsidized cost on the retest fees, to which you declined. We also presented the pictures of the vehicles failed concerns to you which you stated that you would fix yourself and return for the retest. We are committed to upholding the integrity of our safety inspections – you submitting this negative review on tow accounts won’t change our position.
