Dr. Beverly Calkins

I should have written this review long ago. This doctor is a risk to patient health because she just didnt pay attention to what was happening with my mother, overlooked the symptoms and serious condition, neglected to use proper procedures to evaluate and diagnose, and because of this doctors incompetent, she completely failed to diagnose my mother with a serious condition of pneumonia, resulting in my mother being hospitalized in ICU and because of the stupidity of this doctor, my mom developed an irregular heart which now requires expensive medication and ongoing care by a cardiologist. By the way, the first cardiologist was a complete joke too, I had to switch cardiologist because that cardiologist was to stupid to understand that the treatment was doing harm. When doctors dont know the difference between helping a patient or doing harm because they believe that they are helping, yet none of the administration do anything about it because they are doctors.

Wonderful internist! Dr. Calkins interacts with patients directly, using an assistant to type computer notes. She makes a personal connection with her patients, looks them in the eye, and gets to know the person, not just their symptoms. Dr. Calkins is knowledgeable, current, personable, accessible, and relaxed. No ego, no resistance to referring to specialists. In two words: Top Notch!

Dr. Calkins has been my dr. For many years. She listens very well and understands my issue's. Am in great health, thanks to her and her amazing staff.

Absolutely the worst doctor I have ever been to. I had a viral infection of my liver (diagnosed by a specialist after I requested a referral) but she accused me of drinking or taking narcotics. She made false statements on my medical records. Staff actually lied to cover up misinformation they gave me. Condescending and abusive. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE AT ALL COST!!! The next doctor is saw read Dr. Calkins notes and just shook his head saying "what she wrote does not make any sense". It was a very disturbing and exhausting experience. House of horrors.

Dr. Calkins has been my parent's primary care physician for MANY years, and they have been very happy with her. Recently, I have had to communicate for my parents with Dr. Calkins and their staff. They have been SO HELPFUL to every request and question, as I embark on this life's next chapter with my parents. It is so comforting to be able to get a QUICK answer when I email. I can't praise Dr. Calkins and her staff enough. They go above and beyond and their customer service is commendable. I am truly in their debt and so thankful to them all.
