Ever get to a hotel room, discover its not up to your standards, but dont bother requesting a new room because you have zero faith that itd be any better? And cant/wont cancel and find a new hotel because of the 48 hour cancellation policy? Thats this hotel. Were undergoing renovations, broken sliding shower door, poorly placed and barely functioning TV (few good channels anyway), hotel room coffee machine only had decaf, too few lobby breakfast options. I didnt care that only one side of the bed had a nightstand and that there was no clock, but its at least worth mention.

Booked here to attend an event at Thunder Valley. Close to that venue and many other nice places to eat.

I have always had great experiences with Marriott hotels, which is why I am a member. When a friend and I were planing a getaway weekend with our teenage daughters I looked at the Marriott hotels nearby. Since its winter we wanted a place with a heated indoor pool which is the reason I chose this hotel over other options. On arrival we were informed the pool was under construction and not available. When I asked if we could switch to the Marriot next door that did have a pool I was told no and if I canceled the reservation at that point I would be charged. In this day and age of technology I am sure there is some way to update the website to say the pool in not available. Very disappointed.
