My wife and I have a few years yet to full retirement. We first met Jim Files and Dan Ahmad from the Peak Financial Freedom Group in Roseville, CA at one one their dinner presentations last November. At that time, my wife and I had assets all over the landscape in an array of unmonitored holdings and instruments. I planned to work in the corporate world until I pretty much fell over unconscious as I didn't understand how to bring all these pieces together without damaging our portfolio altogether. In a few short months since then, Jim and Dan have put together a plan for us (yes, in writing with charts within a beautiful binder) that indicated to me that I can actually retire one day with security and peace of mind. The entire staff treats you with respect and integrity - regardless of the great chasm between their personal wealth and yours. I used to have nightmares about being in school where all of a sudden it was the last week before graduation and learned there were classes I 'blew off' the whole term, big un-started term papers due within days and final tests which I was not prepared for in the least. I never understood these dreams - I was always good and punctual in school and college and did quite well. I now understand them. Since our association with Peak Financial, these dreams have ceased. They were not about school at all - but about being late in my senior year before retirement and not being ready 'to graduate'.
