Dr. Keyashian has been very supportive while helping me through my health hurdles. I came to Stanford after living many years being sick and the Drs in my area not providing answers. Highly recommend him!

Had a procedure done here and had great experience. The staff are warm and explain everything I need to know about the process. The nurse, assistant and doctor are kind and considerate. Especially my doctor is very patient and experienced. Please keep up good work, we as patient really appreciate your hard work.

Played phone tag with this place for two weeks to get a leaking peg tube replaced. No such luck and decided to go to another hospital. Was informed that the delay was due to a delay in supplies, but I had to call back 4x in order to get a response. Terrible internal communications. Additionally, when my mom first had her peg tube placed by ER at Stanford, they failed to schedule a follow up appointment for us or inform us that was a possibility at Digestive Health (despite it technically being placed by doctors in that department). I had to call several times to get us on the schedule. This level of patient advocacy shouldnt be needed given that this was all done through Stanford. I can easily see how patients may be churned through ER to never receive follow up and subsequently have terrible patient outcomes. Shame on such a supposedly elite hospital for having these gaps in communication between departments and follow-up procedures.

  • My review of Dr. David Edward Goldenberg I had Esophagogastroduodenoscopy without biopsy 4 years ago. Came in today with a history of acid reflux based on that study. The doctor said - "We do a study here if there are symptoms," arguing for the reluctance to do a second study. Ok, I respect your opinion, although I think as a patient that the main task of a doctor is to prevent and not treat diseases. I also have a history of a small polyp and a suspension in the gallbladder, which does not cause my concern, but when I came four years later, I expected that they would offer me an ultrasound to make sure that everything was fine, but the doctor said - "We examine the gallbladder when there are complaints." I do not think that, except in the case of acute pathology of the gallbladder requiring surgical intervention, the symptoms attract much attention. I do not want to be ill! I don't want to feel the symptoms! That's why I think screening is important. I am 35 years old, my blood uncle died of stomach cancer at 59 and did not experience any symptoms until it was diagnosed as an incurable stage. I find this attitude to be negligent. In the middle of the appointment, suddenly the doctor asked me - "Why are you here?" I asked again and he repeated - "Why did you move here to America?" ................ He wonders why the hell did I come here?! I was taken aback by embarrassment and did not find anything to answer except - "Live" Do I need to ask permission from someone to live? Why this passive-aggressive question? Does the doctor solve his existential problems at my expense, projecting his crisis onto me? Perhaps this question was based on the projection of the internal conflict "Why do I exist" It sounded rude. Do people disturb him with their existence? I would like to ask the doctor why he came here to the USA to passive-aggressively ask others about it? Perhaps he is a gifted surgeon, perhaps he simply does not know how to communicate and operations are his strong point and consultations weigh him down, but it seemed to me that the doctor completely lacks empathy and other human qualities.
