Jessica Horrell is currently acting as a leasing agent for an apartment in Redondo Beach. I tried to reach her every way imaginable - through the Zillow app, phone calls, emails, texts - for 13 days. I even called the office and got her personal cell phone number. I am a very interested, very qualified renter, and I made that very clear to her. Finally, on day 14, Jessica messaged me about viewing the apartment. I am a landlord as well as a renter, and if my leasing agent took 2 weeks to respond to a qualified renter, I would be very unhappy. And as a renter, I will avoid any listing that has her name on it.

My husband and I worked primarily with Jessica Horrell at Horrell Realtors who helped us purchase our home in Manhattan Beach. We were first-time home buyers looking in the South Bay (Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach) and wanted an agent who could help us navigate the home buying process, provide guidance in the area and properties of interest, and, most importantly, someone we could trust throughout this process. With respect to properties, we were open to looking at a range of homes including usual turnkeys, remodel or renovation properties (based on timeline and budget criteria we set), and new construction. We ultimately purchased a new construction home. Looking back on our experience, Jessica met and exceeded our expectations as an agent, and her ability to help us look at a range of properties attests to her own range of knowledge and experience, and relationships within the community. Throughout the entire process, Jessica regularly and timely provided weekly updates and also kept track of various related items. Once we were in contract for our current home, our updates included next steps, items due from all parties, status of various items, etc. At all times, Jessica made us feel reassured by always being on top of things and anticipating the next steps. Horrell Realtors is a family business that has spanned generations in the South Bay, meaning this firm is deeply rooted in the local community. Jessica has first-hand experience in living and growing up in the area and was able to provide insights on the different areas based on our stage in life and future family planning, with intimate knowledge of the neighborhoods and schools. Jessica's communications, advice, and actions throughout the process, showed that she had our best interest in mind and we obviously wanted to work with someone we could trust considering we were about to cut the largest check we've ever written thus far in our lives. 10/10 recommend. They're a small family operation and they make you feel like a part of the family throughout the whole process. I worked with Jessica and she walked me through everything I needed to know about the home buying process. When the other agent tried to screw around with us Jessica totally took care of it and made sure that I wasn't being taken advantage of. The worst part about working with Horrell Realtors is when you're done. It was so pleasant working with them that it was sad when I didn't have a reason to be in constant communication with them anymore. (We do still go to Riviera Mexican sometimes though!)
