Dr. McDermott saved my life. I was an 18 year old drug addict when my grandfather brought me to get help. Her soft voice and gentle personality really helped me let my guard down. She was the beginning of my new beginning. Today I have 11 1/2 yrs of sobriety thanks to her referring me to rehab. Unfortunately I moved away close to where I went to rehab so I had to stop seeing her. I highly recommend,you just have to be honest with her then she can help you. We had no insurance but she is worth every penny

Seems to be kind and caring. BUT does not take insurance and extremely over charges.  Told us to send super bills to our insurance that would cover 50%. But the insurance company finds her to be charging too much and will not cover over a certain amount per visit. One consultation should not cost $425x2   YES she will charge 2x once for the child and once for the parents. In my opinion, she is taking advantage of people in crisis.  Also requires multiple visits that other drs do not. We feel like we got taken advantage of financially.Also an issue with her calling in Rx late.She is kind, probably qualified-but I recommend going elsewhere. Someone that takes insurance!
