Extremely Disappointing Experience at Legacy Automotive: Choose Anywhere Else! I recently had an incredibly disappointing encounter with Legacy Automotive, and I feel compelled to share my story. Until this incident, I had never faced any issues with my air conditioning system. However, when I entrusted my vehicle to Legacy Automotive for an engine repair, I was taken aback by their exorbitant $3000 bill. Regrettably, their services failed to meet even the most basic expectations. To start with, despite the hefty price tag, the check engine light reappeared shortly after the repair, and they outright refused to honor the supposed warranty that was promised. To make matters worse, they still charged me an additional $75 to refill the freon in the air conditioning system, even though I had returned to them when I noticed the AC had malfunctioned immediately after the engine repair. This fix was short-lived due to an unresolved leak. Their lack of attention to detail became even more apparent when I discovered that they had improperly installed the power steering hose, resulting in further damage. When I approached Legacy Automotive about this glaring mistake, their response was shockingly ignorant. The owner himself claimed that the power steering in my vehicle was electric, completely disregarding their own error. Instead of taking responsibility for the damage they caused, they attempted to charge me an additional $1000 to rectify a problem they had already created. Overall, my experience with Legacy Automotive was marred not only by their failure to address the initial engine issue, but also by their unprofessionalism and refusal to acknowledge their mistakes. Considering the poor quality of work and the sheer ordeal I had to endure, I cannot recommend their services. I strongly advise anyone considering their shop for repairs to avoid it at all costs and spare themselves the terrible ordeal I had to go through. Thank you for your attention, and I genuinely hope that my account can dissuade at least a few people from patronizing this dreadful excuse for an automotive service provider.

I would like to start by saying this customer has been harassing our business in various ways for over five months now. We tried working with him in the beginning on 03/13/23 despite the AC issue not being covered under warranty. As a courtesy, the labor for an AC service was waived and he was only charged for the Freon. The damage to the condenser was not done by our mechanic. The customer had already been aware of the prior front end damage as it’s pretty obvious to see and we informed him about the condenser being damaged too. He was also given a long list of recommended maintenance items that have clearly been neglected for quite some time. As for the power steering hose and battery light, you can see in our invoices that we told him about the power steering issues on 06/20/2023 and he declined further diagnosing and repairs and became extremely upset that everything on his vehicle wouldn’t be fixed for free. We weren’t even aware of the supposed battery light until his most recent addition to his complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We’ve explained to him several times in multiple ways about his warranty on the engine replacement and what is covered. If we had caused any accidental damage during repairs we would have of course repaired that at no cost to him. We all make mistakes sometimes but that is not the case here at all and any accessory and maintenance items are not covered under the warranty and would be charged accordingly. Again, his continued problems with the vehicle have to do with accessory and maintenance issues, not the engine. I would also like to point out how his story continues to change over time, adding in new vehicle issues each time after driving the vehicle for thousands of miles. He has finally admitted that there was prior damage to the vehicle that was unrelated to the engine replacement. He also clarified that on his last visit to the shop the police were called but not sent showing that he was incorrect in stating that we were the aggressors. The reason 911 was called is because he was getting way out of line with yelling and insulting me at which point the owner stepped in and demanded for him to leave. The customer then went on to try and argue with and insult the owner until I dialed 911. The police did not come to the shop because the customer finally left when I began talking to a dispatcher so the call was cancelled. I have spoken with his brother and sister-in-law on multiple occasions to try and resolve the issues. They both apologized to me for their family members’ behavior and stated that he’s been going through some rough personal matters. They seem to understand the facts much better, however, they’ve also been unable to get it through to the customer and get him to understand. Because of his continued aggressions and harassment of me and our shop he is now banned from our business and we are working on filing criminal charges against him. I have told his brother this as well and that if he or his wife would like to mediate for the customer he is welcome to come for any warrantied issues if needed. On behalf of Legacy Automotive Repair, I greatly appreciate your extra time and consideration on these matters. We look forward to this all coming to a close.
