I went to Keiths for a diagnostic and to seek repairs so I was able to get my car to pass smog. They did a thorough diagnostic and the owner was honest on saying the repairs may not be worth the money due to the low value of the car, which I truly appreciated. They get two stars for that and because the woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
What I did have a problem with was a comment the employees made to the owner. When picking up my car it would not start and when I brought it it ran fine. Two mechanics came out to try to get it to start for about 20 min but told me it would be best to come back the following day so we could tow it or see if it can get started. My fianc waited in the car on his phone and did not say a word to them, only asked me whats going on with it once and I said I dont know. He has ZERO interaction with the mechanics and stayed out of it. However when the owner called to let me know its running he stated my mechanics can get defensive so its a good thing there was another customer there otherwise things could have gone differently. This really upset me. I was the only one who interacted with them and its not okay to insinuate that my fianc was trying to cause issues when he wasnt involved or even paying attention while they were messing with the car. It also came across as a threat to him which I absolutely am not okay with. The other customer that was there only grabbed his keys from the front desk and went to his car so I dont know what he had to do with anything. I considered going to Keiths for future repairs on my other vehicles but I wont be doing so now. The owner seems fairly honest however I dont know about the mechanics.
I do want to mention my car apparently wouldnt start after the diagnostic due to low fuel, however I brought it with at least 1/4 tank. The did run it for a while and test drove it, however they filled it up with $20 in gas while I was not there with my permission (and which I paid for). Upon driving it home I realized that it was at a 1/2 tank. The tank is 21 gal so there is no way 4 gallons wouldve gotten me to halfway full. I have a feeling the mechanics forgot to do something they undid on the car and the owner caught it and blamed it on the gas. Either that or my gas gauge is off by a whole 1/4 tank but I doubt that. If they had just forgot to do something thats fine because stuff happens, I just wish they couldve been truthful about it. Service: Vehicle Inspection

My parents have exclusively used this repair shop for all their car needs and now I know why!
The customer service from the front desk personnel to the mechanics is so wonderful and they were honest with me in the repairs I needed when I was thinking my repairs were going to be much more expensive, it ended up being 1/4 of the cost of what I went in expecting. I've been going to Keith's Auto for almost 11 years and they've always given me honest quotes and excellent work. From car smogs, to AC work, to oil changes, everything - they are just great! If you need work they don't perform there, they will refer you other businesses in town that are reputable as well. Keith's is knowledgeable and never pushes work that doesn't need to be done. You can trust your vehicles will get repaired here. 2023 update: Still the same great service here! Really the best auto mechanic I have ever used!
