Eisenhower Labtechniques

I found the lab organized, on time, and very professional. The waiting room was clean and adequately sized to handle the people with appointments. Probably the best experience I have ever had when giving blood samples. I highly recommend this lab.

Bar none the worst lab appointment and way of treating patients ever. First, you must check in where there is one person only while there is line out the door. Then you move to the "lab" where you sit until people come to work (my appt. was for 8 a.m.) and then they check you in again, this time putting a piece of paper around your wrist as if you were going in hospital. Once you are finally called back, the piece of paper that they just put on you comes off! I was hoping that the young woman who was obviously learning wasn't going to take my blood...but she didn't. I got someone who knew what they were doing. At least that's a plus. Horrible, horrible, horrible and no way to run a business although it seems like everything Eisenhower does is to INCREASE costs not decrease them. My "lab appointment" for 8:00 a.m. where they request you to be there at 7:45 a.m. - took 45 minutes to complete. Nonsense! Ugh.....trapped......

If I could give this facility a NEGATIVE NUMBER I would. I went for a simple blood test and it was late in the afternoon on Friday. Nobody wanted to be there and the woman who confirmed my appointment was the poster child of passive aggressive. I submitted my form and asked if she needed anything else. She said no. 3 minutes later she called me up to fill out 3 more fields on the form. I sat down. 10 minutes later she called me up to fill out some stupid form about my insurance which they already had on file,, address, marital status, etc. Then she mumbled that she was going to get my bracelet and that I had to wear it. Like this was my first time visit. Then I waited 40 minutes more to get a blood test. The waiting room was empty. She raised the meaning of unprofessional and obnoxious to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL.

2 1/2 hours for a lab draw! 1 hour + if you have an appointment. Ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, the phlebotomists are great. You're in and out in less than 5 minutes. Something is wrong with their processes. They forget people. Positively, hands down. People come up and they ask "Appointment or walk in". For the 2nd. Week straight I know for a fact that at least 3 people that were walk ins were brought back before us. I even pointed it out to my mother. I said watch this lady in the striped top just came in without an appointment. Sure enough, she had her armband within 30 minutes and was brought back before us. It took over 2 hours before someone even put an armband on my mother. The lab in the Delores Hope building smokes this place. I would have time to drive to Rancho Mirage, have my labs drawn, and drive back to La Quinta before being seen here. Absolutely the worse!

Brianna is the most amazing nurse! This is the second time that she has done my blood work and she is beyond phenomenal! She takes her time, very attentive, applies heat, just really cares about making sure that you are comfortable! She really goes above and beyond. Plus she has good eye contact & always has a smile on her face!! I have had More lab draws than you can count on your hands and feet with having 7 different surgeries. Hands-down both of my experiences with her, were better than my entire life. I have also used Labcorp before and it is cheaper with my insurance, but I will never go back there now. I am extremely grateful for this positive experience and I will forever be a patient because of her! Thank you!!!
