Rancho Cordova Elementary School

If I have really good memories of this school 9 years after graduation, then surely they were and still are doing something right.

My son just graduated kindergarten. He only went to this school for about 5 months. I did not like the way no announcements were sent out, if there was one it was every so often. The teacher did not inform the parents of everyday activities. The school my son went to in galt prior to this one was great. The teacher let parents know daily what was going on. She let us know how his day was when we picked him up and when I asked how his day was and what did he learn he always said " oh I learned this and that and I also learned a new song". And they had homework each week. They also went to the library each week to pick out a book. At this school I ask what he learned today and he says " oh I forgot". And they are on tablets and computers all day. I dont mind the no homework policy but at some point I would like to see my child writing and reading things at home. And a progress report every few months would be nice also. Just some suggestion maybe a monthly calendar just for their class with activities and special moments on it every month, maybe some writing assignments to be sent home and the library once a week or even once a month would be nice. Maybe teaching the kids responsibility will be nice too.
