I hired Kitchen Art about 10 years ago to remodel my kitchen. The quality was excellent and the workers made it a very memorable process. They were very careful to not damage anything and there was always someone from the company that came by to check progress each day.
I hired Kitchen Art in 2014 to remodel my kitchen, install new flooring, and paint areas in my new home. This experience has been nothing but a nightmare. The workers were very messy, damaged numerous cabinets, broke my oven, left 'dings' in my oven and microwave, damaged numerous pieces of furniture, and were very inexperienced. There were numerous times I would overhear some of them making comments such as "I have never done this before" or "I have to fix this before Al see it and I have to pay for it", etc.
Numerous cabinets were sent that were not the right size and/or did not have 'skins on them'. When I questions why my broom closet wasn't the size I ordered I was told "Oh, UltraKraft sent it that size because it was easier to ship". How ridiculous! I also order cabinets above my microwave/oven to be the same size as the ones over the refrigeration, but that is not what was provided. The worst problem with the cabinets is the fact they sent 36" cabinets/drawers for under a 30" stove. The installer cut the cabinet down to 30.5" which made it so where the drawers did not fit propertly and continuously are unaligned. The contractor tried to fix it by adding inserts. However, to this day I cannot use those 3 drawers because they continually unalign. Recently I noticed on the left side of the drawers the 'fillers' are cracking and the contractor told me to contact UltraKratt. How unprofessional.
Recently, the toilet began leaking which in turn ruined my laminate flooring. While it took 4 days to fix, the contractor told me the flange and ring were replaced which is not true. I watched the plumber and asked why he was not installing the flange and he said it didn't need it. When I told the contractor he said, the plumber said to call him if there is a problem and he will be responsible. That is not right, he is the contractor and he has a contract where he is responsible for 3 years. It shocked me that he told me one thing was done when it was truly not the case.
I am at a loss with this contractor. While I know he is capable of good work, he has hired low paid employees that do unacceptable work to save money and in turn I get a kitchen that has numerous issues.
Now I have a kitchen that has an oven with numbers dings (by workers), SEVERAL nicks on the cabinets that are 'patched' due to workers neglect, and cracking cabinets. UNACCEPTABLE
