I HM has been tremendously important in my life. After trying many different ways to lose weight successfully, I worked with them and found myself able to lose more than 100 pounds and keep it off. I did it without being in misery all the time, and the people there made me feel like more than a patient; they made me feel that they actually cared about my well-being. I have recommended them to several people who have had success with their program. It's not for everybody, but nothing is; The fact is that they change my life for the better, and that's about as good a recommendation as I could give anybody for anything.

This has been an absolute horrific situation to deal with. Prior to my visit I asked Maria via email if they excepted my insurance I received an email back stating that yes they excepted my insurance and everything would be covered except for the food. Upon arriving at my appointment, the entire process was so disorganized they immediately took me in and did lab work yet my entire appointment use the lab work that I brought in. they came in the examination room at least five times calling me another patients name the nurse practitioner referred only to the labs that I had provided them with not the ones they had taken. After an hour of jumping back-and-forth from room to room, the appointment was over and on my way out. I was told that I owed $485 when I questioned why I would need to pay for the appointment based on Maria's email earlier in the month that I was covered by insurance I was told that I need to pay it first and then the insurance would reimburse me. while I have the money to be able to do this I let them know that not everyone may be in the same financial situation and that they simply can not run a business this way. After multiple conversations with both Maria and Denise, the office manager I was informed that they had made a claim to my insurance and that I would be receiving a check. It's been two months. My insurance has yet to receive a claim and I have yet to get any paperwork from the Institute of health management so that I can file my own claim. In their itemized bill, not only did they charge me for lab work that they never used or processed but also for a urine sample that I never gave! It's so frustrating to be having to do their job and deal with the billing!
