    I started working with HB as a last resort effort before undergoing back surgery for a disc herniation. I was in pretty constant discomfortdespite a recent steroid injectionand my walking, sitting and standing were all wonky, leading to further pain and potential issues. After just a few months with HB, the results have been totally life-changing. I improved quickly from an initial stretching and back/sciatic-pain focused exercise program. From there, Ive steadily gained strength and mobility, to where our sessions together are mostly focused on more traditional training and weight liftingsomething I wouldnt have thought was possible for me without surgery. HB is constantly mixing it up with new movements and challenging me to push further. Hes a wizard with deep understanding of how the body works and is interconnected. And hes a chill person to spend an hour with! Probably the best health decision Ive ever made, highly recommended.

    I have had many personal trainers over the years and there is no match for HB. He is by and far the best in every way! I have been working with HB for several months with a goal of getting back into climbing shape and to target specific areas (upper traps) where I frequently experienced pain. HB is incredibly knowledgeable about the musculature of the entire body and focuses intently on form in every exercise. In just a few short months, the pain and headaches I used to experience with any upper body workout is completely gone and Im building strength at a rate I didnt think possible! One of the best things about working with HB is that he genuinely cares about you and your goals. He tailors the workouts to my specific needs and keeps them interesting by regularly introducing new exercises. He typically selects 5-6 that I complete as a circuit. There are no machines at the gym he trains at, so each exercise is more functional, which I find more fun and challenging than a typical machine based workout. Im always excited to see what new challenge he has prepared for me at each session. HB encourages me to safely push myself and I feel motivated to work hard. Hes also been extremely flexible with scheduling, as I live out of state and work a variable schedule in the Glendale area. He works with me to ensure I get in the gym as frequently as possible and hes even provided me with workouts I can do at home. HB is truly the best personal trainer out there and one of the kindest people youll ever meet. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Get in touch with him, really, do it now! You wont regret it!

    Having a good coach/trainer can make all the difference. For me, HB has been that coach helping me meet my fitness goals for the last 3 years to increase my flexibility (thus reducing injury) and developed a work out plan to rehabilitate several knee & back issues. He helped to minimize any bad habits picked up over this last year of work from home, has me on the path to getting me back to my pre-COVID fitness and ready to tackle my first triathlon later this year. This is an investment in myself with many solid returns. Thank you HB for the coaching and motivation pushing me into the gym each day......even when I'd rather stay in bed. You are the best!
