Raffie Kalajian is a very experienced, knowledgeable, punctual, caring, creative, and savvy lender. As a realtor with high expectations and standards, who has worked with countless lenders, I should admit that I don't easily endorse a lender. I have closed several deals with Raffie. He goes above and beyond for his clients. And he does it in such a smooth way that the realtor and the buyer don't need to ask for anything even once. His team is always ahead of the game. Raffie's knowledge about the new programs, rules and regulations is so high and up to date, that he always finds a way to give the best rate and terms to my buyers. I highly recommend Raffie to any first time home buyer, or anyone who wants to refinance.

I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about Raffie and the whole team at New Penn. They were recommended to me 17 years ago by a Minister when I wanted to stop renting and buy a home. Nectar made the process fun and I was excited to find out I could actually purchase a home! Over the years I have refinanced several times and each time Raffie was awesome getting me better and better rates. The whole team at New Penn is friendly, genuine and honest and make the customer not only feel important but also feel like a partner in the whole process. I have also recommended Raffie to anyone who asked me. If you are looking for mortgage help, this is the place!!

The worst experience of my life. This company told me immediately that I was approved for 600k and then two weeks into escrow demands 24,000 in a savings account with statements for two months to prove it. We nearly lost the house if my mom hadn't jumped on the loan with us. It was one of the most stressful experiences of my life, and on top of the faulty loan info, they kept losing info, not following up with information needed from third parties, and communicating they had information they did not. For example, they said a 12 day contingency was fine and then ended up not lifting contingencies until around day 16-17. Worse, they made it my fault even though I got everything to them that they asked for within 30 minutes! Then when they couldn't make that argument they said, "Oh well we're just really backed up because a lot of people are getting this loan." Sure. I would NEVER use this company again and I hope you find this before you use this lender so you can be spared what I went through. We are grateful to be in our house, but it gave our entire family PTSD going through the process. I know buying a house is difficult for everyone, but this was next level insanity. This company and New Penn Financial they are associated with should be shut down!

Raffie is the loan officer you want to know!! Hands down the best one I have ever dealt with!!! Knowledgeable, friendly, responsible, communicative, hard-working and, best of all, someone who thinks outside the box. I wasn't sure what type of loan my family and I wanted and which type of loan would work best for our  situation. Raffie spent endless hours researching, researching and researching some more until he found the perfect loan for us. I could go on and on about how amazing Raffie, and the rest of the amazing staff at New Penn in Pasadena, but I won't. Please call Raffie for your loan needs, you'll never go anywhere else.
