My parents have worked with Tami Smight for years on their two homes, so when husband and I chose to renovate our Venice, CA beach house - we treated ourselves to Tami. What a wise decision that was! Tami took the time to ask the right questions about our budget, our needs and wants and marrying two design styles for our first home as husband and wife. We had no idea how many moving parts exist in a home renovation! It can be overwhelming, however, with Tamis professional guidance, creative designs and excellent communication, we were confidently guided through the entire process. We felt certain in all the materials selections and so excited to transform our Kitchen and bathrooms. Throughout the process, Tami was our advocate and wanted what was best for our home and budget. We benefited from Tamis unique ability to educate through the process with a calm, nurturing manner, and positive energy. Upon meeting Tami Smight, I knew instantly we could work together on my beach cottage interior design project Her warm and bubbly personality, excitement about the project and confidence won me over right away. I couldn’t have done it without her patience, diligence, emotional support, professionalism, vision, expertise, and kindness. Tami understands the emotional component of moving and decorating a house. Her focus is completely on client satisfaction, excellent communication and sourcing items to honor the budget and design style. Tami kept her cool with back ordered items and proposed viable solutions quickly and efficiently. My completed project reflects my personality and compliments the architectural style of the house. Tami brought in the elements that truly transformed my house into a home without resorting to a "done-up museum house production". My home feels like I actually live there but at the same time, it has an air of sophistication that shows my love for good design and world travel. Although I love decorating, and have been asked by friends to help them decorate a room here and there, when it comes to my own home, I get overwhelmed with choices and indecision. Enter Tami Smight - she saved me time, money and useless worrying. I first called on Tami for design advice two years ago when debating about window shades in my kitchen. She actually advised me to leave the windows bare (which my husband preferred and loved!). I knew then that she was looking out for me, whats best for my home, and my desired end result for the space. On our current home improvement project, finishing the basement, I was going in circles about mixing cabinetry colors, hardware finishes, and counter top choices. I was close, but stressed about pulling the trigger on any ONE decision. So, once again, I reached out to Tami with two simple questions. She responded the next day with a Mood Board complete with links to products, colors, sizes. She educated me as to the WHY..why it is okay to mix the hardware, cabinets etc. Pouff! Immediately I felt unstuck and certain about my direction, materials choices - AND the cost for her services was so reasonable! Tami Smight provides certainty and clarity, she listens, and really cares about helping me LOVE my home! The best part, is Tami did all of this remotely. I live in Illinois and she in Connecticut, we communicated ideas/questions via text and emails. I highly recommend her services for your project, big or small, local or remote!

I hired Tami to help me finish my nursery. The baby was due soon and I needed help! The scope of the project started as just a paint consultation. I had too many colors to narrow down and needed help figuring out which would be best. Tami helped me see the nuances in the different colors and have confidence in the final choice. Because Tami is such a joy to work with and so easy to talk to, I expanded the scope of the project to include baby furniture. It was refreshing to learn that I could use items from affordable vendors like Wayfair when working with a designer. She helped me pick products that look high end, without the big price tag and with this being our second baby and not wanting to break the bank it was such a relief. She was very prompt with responses and ordering and everything went very smoothly. Tami was really a joy to work with and I can't wait to do more projects with her in the future. She gave me so many wonderful tips for picking wall colors that put my mind at ease (I hated the original wall color I had picked myself so I was a little paralyzed by fear picking a new one and she helped me feel confident). I think that was the most surprising thing about working with such a wonderful designer like Tami, the easy tools she provided to help me feel empowered and confident in my choices. It doesn't have to be hard or expensive. Tami is so easy to talk to and really listens to your needs and wants and helps you create the best space for you and your family. I highly recommend Tami Smight for your project!
