This reviews a home we purchased that was completely remodeled and designed by Current Designed. So we did not hire them but we very much live with their work every day. To state the positives first, they have good taste and stylish design aesthetics overall. We definitely fell for it. Unfortunately, in terms of workmanship and mechanicals, the work is atrocious. In the months after moving in, we encountered a litany of things not working or failing in the house that required repair after repair. This is supposed to be a house thats totally gutted and remodeled, new appliances put in. To give you a taste, this is the order in which things began to fail: -Within days, the heat stopped working and the HVAC had to repaired. -Laundry cant be done at night bc the entire upper floor circuit would trip. So all lights have to be off in order to wash clothes. -2 out of the 3 showers get only lukewarm water. Everyone in the house is now sharing 1 shower. -Drawer microwave stopped heating up food. -Dishwasher started leaking and has been repaired 5 times (I kid you not, still not fixed). I was told it was poorly installed and even the wood panel door they put in front is wrongly sized so it doesnt allow the DW to close properly. -The garbage disposal fell clean off the bottom of the sink (imagine the mess one evening) b/c it was not attached properly. -Column freezer now malfunctioning. -The flooring of the back patio decking already starting to pop loose. All this is within the first 4 months of moving in, and were still waiting for new, unpleasant surprises to show up. This list is laughable, bordering on absurd, and I wish I were making this up but unfortunately Im living with the reality of making repair calls practically every other week to fix the poor work of Current Designed. A couple items from the list may be expected from any new home, but everything one after another within weeks of moving in is pretty ridiculous. So. Buyer Beware. Unless you want a real contractor special of a home w/ faulty appliances or one purely for looks. Buy home warranty. Very disappointed given their supposed good reputation in the community. We were definitely fooled by fancy appearances.
