The food is fine - very typical of the upper middle grade that most people will immediately be familiar with, and thus, it's unremarkable . It's window service, and service is polite but deathly slow, even when it's not busy. It appears that there used to be indoor seating, but it's been converted into storage and workspace. Prices are exorbitant, especially given window service and customers are made to wait outdoors in the direct sunlight next to a busy street, and the optional tip of 25% is obnoxious. You'll do better at Bottega Louie. Now, I appreciate that people gotta make a livin' but please at least work for it. I do. Bottom line? Not worth it. Cannot recommend.

Ive been going to seed bakery for many years and I continue to go because I want to support my local bakery because I live just down the street. I can tell you that theres not been one time out of all the times Ive purchased baked goods there that some part of the baked good wasnt seared black also, I have never received a latte that wasnt burned whether I order a nondairy milk or a dairy milk today I decided to go in and ask for my latte not to be burned and the guy behind the counter mansprained are you sure you just dont want it to be as hot as if I never had a latte somewhere else in my life that wasnt burned, or I myself hadnt been a barista for many years and knew very well had to create a latte that didnt have burned. He acted as if it was impossible for milk to be burned. I told him I was trying to give it one more shot because I really wanted to support my local business. And he looked at me and said. Well, I dont know what to tell you. Were not a coffee shop. Meanwhile the menu right there carries at least eight coffee drinks that they have a priced for the perceived income for the Pasadena neighborhood that they exist in never mind the exorbitant prices of their pastries. Ive waited to write a review for several years because I didnt want to give them a negative review because I know how challenging it can be to have a small business. Well there you go see bakery keep burning your coffees and being snarky oh, and continue to burn your pastries to great work. All your other positive reviews must be for people who like things burned.

Got brioche bun for $2 which is reasonably priced, it was very dry .like almost 2 days old. Also got buckwheat loaf with nice crust but uneven rise, it was much better than brioche but a touch dry. I think getting whole loafs is where its at to get value for your money. Avoid pastries and sandwiches, I feel they are bit overpriced.

H Hi
I wish I knew about this place when it first opened up. Seed Bakery's artisan breads are the real deal: no oils, preservatives, colorants or texturizers are used, and breads are heavy and full of fiber. It's no wonder Seed's sandwiches are simply amazing.

Food is pretty good, but the service has definitely left something to be desired. If you want to feel like you are an inconvenience to the owner and employees feel free to visit. There are plenty of other places to get pastries in the area that are much more welcoming.
