I have two kids in the PreK and the 2s class and we LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Very well structured, monthly emails with calendars and announcements, teachers and staff all around amazing and just love on all the kids, and we appreciate all the enrichment activities they offer. My kids have both been singing and counting in Spanish and Mandarin, and singing songs from the music teacher. Highly recommend.

Amazing school and experience! Extremely happy with TWY! Our child attended all 4 years there and every year was great. I love how well they teach inclusion, making friends with everyone, safety and great social skills. I always felt safe knowing my child was in good hand at TWY. Our child truly established a basic framework for social and stem skills. I really can't say enough about this great school and great staff!

We honestly cannot say enough positive things about The Wonder Years Palo Alto. Our family was at the school for three years (2s, 3s, and Pre-K) and are so grateful we had the opportunity to be part of the community. A few highlights:-- Professional, well-run and organized school that fosters a welcoming, inclusive and fun environment for children to thrive-- Directors (Ms Kasia and Ms Kendall) are passionate, supportive and respectful. They have created a solid culture with collaborative relationship with families and teachers-- Teachers are caring, engaging, patient and creative. We (and our kids) have loved each teacher-- Focus on each child's individual development with regular, helpful feedback-- Strong balance of play/structure/enrichment activities with variety and special events-- Open and proactive communication with clear guidelines, and responsive to feedbackBased on our experience, we highly recommend The Wonder Years Palo Alto to other families.

Both of my kids attended this preschool for full 4 years. I have been recommending the school to my friends. Since I get many questions, I decided to post a Yelp review. One of my kids attended another daycare briefly, so I have some basis for comparison. What I like about this preschool: * Great and active teachers - all the teachers that we met are genuinely caring and responsible. Compared to a few other schools that I toured, I think teachers at this school are having fun with the kids instead of just getting paid watching your kids* very convenient location, easy drop off pick up on your way to or from work* all year round without summer vacations, only 1 week in the summer, 1 week in spring and 2 weeks in winter, the spring break time typically matches Palo Alto public school. Also, I like that all kids move up to the new grades together, following the 9/1 birthday cutoff that the public school systems since the toddler class. * Both of my kids' potty training was initiated by the school. We just supported at home and did not experience many struggles. * balanced play and academic activities - I believe the school does not label itself as either play-based or academic-based. During the last year before kinder, there will be some worksheet but not pushy heavily on the kids. Kids do learn at very different pace. My kids graduated with very different academic performances under pretty much the same teachers. Overall the school prepared them well for Kinder.* enrichment classes such as gym, dance and languages. Field trips for the pre-K class to stores around the school. Celebrations/activities are happening almost every month. * well organized and good communications with parents - even though the teacher-student ratio might not be as low as in other schools, there are floating teachers that help out in each classroom when needed. Events and activities are well communicated to parents via email ahead of time* has strict rules about birthday parties. Either invite the entire class or don't invite anyone. Not everyone will be a fan of this, but I enjoy it. The entire class goes to birthday parties together almost once per month is very fun.  * navigated through the pandemic smoothly - at the beginning of the pandemic when everyone was at home, the school mastered the online mode quickly and sent worksheets and art materials home each week so that the kids could enjoy the online classes. The school then made a hard decision to open in person quickly. Watching my older one struggling with online learning in elementary school, I am incredibly appreciative that my young one at Wonder Years did not suffer the same social and academic loss. I cannot think of any major cons/improvement points. The playground might seem small, but I have never heard the kids complaining that they are bored. As long as they are playing with their friends, they are very happy.

I leave reviews very rare and I thought every parent should know how great The Wonder Years Preschool is.  My daughter started a 2-years class this year and it couldn't have been more amazing than that. She is super excited every morning to go to school and every time we pick her up it has been an absolute pleasure to see how happy she is and all her friends.-Management cares about your child, and I should say that they are so good at their job, just let them do their job and ask if you have any questions, always there to help you and your little one.-Teachers are amazing, a huge shout out to Ms. Jessica, Ms. Maria, Ms. Zoila & Ms. Nory BCS they are my daughter's teachers but I can see that all of them are doing a stunning job.-Classrooms are always clean, neat and welcoming. I sometimes wonder is it ever get messy?:) And finally, the most important thing is they teach your child how to become ready for the next step of their life. My daughter had developed such good skills in just a few months. From picking up the words to singing songs even her manner to her classmates she has improved herself in everything and I am so thankful that our paths crossed with The Wonder Years.  Highly recommended.!
