Its absolutely ridiculous to me that nobodys ever physically present at the chamber of commerce. Ive been here 3 times in the last two days, and have tried calling Charlie Weidanz, the CEO of the place several times with no response. What a waste of space.

I emailed Palo Alto Chamber to inquire about their membership level/fees for my company multiple times and no one ever get back to me. They dont pick up the phone or return voicemail either...

The Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce is such a great resource for the city and its programs are amazing! Palo Alto is a better community because of this office. They provide so much to the community for the greater good.Why the one star? Because its current president, Judy Kleinberg, is extraordinarily condescending and rude. I had some questions and needed materials and the two ladies up at the front were super nice and helpful. The moment that I asked for something that they didn't have an answer for and Judy took over, a dark cloud overtook the office. Gone was the friendly, sweet vibe. Everything out of Judy's mouth was rude, abrupt, and worst of all, condescending (I am college-educated, no need to talk down to me). I was never rude nor demanding nor unreasonable to deserve such awful treatment. If a community member stops by and inquires politely about a few services/programs offered by the chamber of commerce and that person is met with enthusiasm and kindness, obviously the community member is being nice. For Judy to feel that she is above everyone else is really sad. It wasn't just one comment or a sarcastic answer, it was the whole interaction. The sense of entitlement on her end was strong.Members of the community shouldn't be made to feel that they are unwelcome.....ever. I don't care if she is a lawyer or was the former mayor of Palo Alto. That doesn't make you better than the "plebeians" who come in, and there's just no need to talk down to people who are kind and pleasant from the get-go. Please reevaluate your customer service and people skills so that every person who walks into the office feels welcome and happy to be there.
