Farmers Insurance - Benjamin Battle

Ben is very rude and ignorant my Spanish speaking father was on the phone with him trying to cancel his policy. Ben made a comment about the premium only going up by a few dollars. My father then tried to cancel and Ben was going off about how my father was wasting his time. Worst agent go else whereafter my dad handed the phone to me cause he wasnt understanding what Ben was saying I asked Ben to cancel the policy he then said thank you for wasting my time and hung up the phone while I was in the middle of speaking

I'm surprised at the other 5 star reviews, but I notice none of them say anything about dealing with Mr Battle with even a minor claim. I agree wholeheartedly with the 1 star review.Our previous agent for some 12 years or so, Jack Gillam, was excellent. The agent who took over his practice when he retired, Benjamin Battle, was terrible.My wife was mildly rear-ended while standing still at a red light by an uninsured motorist with a DD5 drivers lic that had an old, wrong address and was driving his mother's car (according to adjuster Tim Shanks). My wife took pics of the damage to both veh's, his drivers lic, and the lic plate. The damage to our car was only approx $1500 and was our only claim in 14+ years.Mr Battle claimed he found some old doc on the computer from around 10 years earlier, supposedly signed only by my wife but not me, that suddenly revoked our Uninsured Motorist coverage. My wife has nothing to do with our insurance -- I handle all of it. So our claim was denied. After repeated written demands, I was never even provided a copy of the alleged doc by either Mr. Battle, or the adjuster, Tim Shanks.Mr Battle often didn't reply to msgs. When I went in person, his office was often closed during business hours. Often, no one answered the phone.Eventually, Mr Battle insisted on filing a claim for us anyway, claiming that we might be able to get "good will coverage" from Farmers (his words) since it was such a small amount, and since we were clients for 14+ years without a claim. He specifically insisted that he'd seen Farmers give "good will" coverage before. However, the adjuster, Mr Shanks, of course said that there was no such thing as "good will" coverage and actually apologized for Mr Battle telling me that.According to the adjuster, Mr Shanks, he spoke with the mother's insurance carrier and was informed that her carrier would've covered it, except that her son had just been dropped from the policy the previous month for some kind of problems. So we needed help.Mr Battle repeatedly bragged about how he was best-buddies with the owner of Kuzyk Law and promised they would investigate and find me the uninsured driver's and his mother's current address and info so we could try to sue. Kuzyk Law refused, acting like they didn't even know Mr Battle. Mr Shanks also promised he would get me the info on the uninsured driver and his mom, but never did. I reported my experience back to Mr Battle and he didn't even reply about itMr Battle did leave an inappropriate, angry, complaintive message on my machine that he'd "...done everything he can". But the only thing Mr Battle actually did that had the power to do was to just send me the form for adding back Uninsured Motorist coverage, which was just a further insult and offense to me. Then Mr Battle stopped replying at all.I also demanded that the adjuster Mr Shanks provide me with contact info for a supervisor. He refused to provide me even a name or number, but promised I would be called by a district/regional mgr -- I was never called.I'm offended and insulted that both Mr Battle and Mr Shanks just wasted my time and paid me 'lip service' to try to placate me. I'm disgusted by both Mr Battle's and Mr Shanks' dismissiveness, negligence, dishonesty/deceptiveness and disappointing uselessness.Also, FYI, I'd complained to his office several times over the years about the constant renewal increases in our policy cost every year. Our cost literally doubled. AAA gave me way more and better coverage for the same cost as Farmers.
