Mario's Italian Cafe - Sunrise

Excellent! The service and food were outstanding. The pizza was so very good. Perfectly cooked crust, very tasty sauce, plentiful fresh, tasty and plentiful toppings. We loved the pizza. What made our meal even better was the fantastic service. The ran out of the wine that I picked and the manager was quick to stop my with samples of other wines - which I very much appreciated. This is great service and who can argue with the Marios famous pour! All of the staff at Marios deserve credit for their very good service. Cannot wait to return.

Good family-owned and operated small chain of Italian-style restaurants in the Coachella Valley. I like their lunch specials and wines. I have visited the Palm Springs location several times and the Palm Desert location once. They are both equally good.

We had gone to a different Marios location when we were in town a couple months prior, and I wish we had made the drive to that one instead. It took forever to get our waters, the food came out so slowly that the waitress came over and asked if we wanted dessert before we closed out, but we hadnt even gotten our food yet! My daughters order was completely wrong, and because no server came to check on us, we had to walk it in ourselves to ask for the right order. We asked for a refill on water and never got it, and they seemed to have completely forgotten about us to even bother to bring the check. We had our 3 children with us and just wanted to get home, so I went in again to ask for a manager. There was no manager on site, so a different server said she would help us. We were still waiting for a little while, so my husband went in to find someone to pay so we could leave. We never did get any refills on water and our glasses were all completely empty. They did give us a dessert to go and a slight discount on our order, but I would have just preferred to have decent service during our meal. The server who helped us in the end was helpful.

It was truly a let down to what we expected, the food was ehh, and service was horrible. Don't think we'll be back..
