Ive had a few sessions with Terrence Kava at Beverly Hills Trauma Therapists after my marriage ended and I needed some counseling to get over and move on. Terrence was super helpful and allow me to see the things in a different perspective, helped me to get over it and move on with my life. Great guy and an excellent resource for dealing with trauma.

When I called my insurance to get connected to a mental health provider I was at what I hope is the lowest I will ever be in life. I was surprised but so grateful I had my initial intake session not even 48hrs later with Terrence Kava. Ive had several therapist in the past and struggled to attend sessions on a regular basis. I put zero effort into committing my time to the therapist because I didnt feel connected or worse, it felt textbook and I was looking for a more individualistic approach. When I reached out this last time I made a choice to not settle if I ever felt like sharing my daily struggles or trauma to someone just felt like one hour of time in their work day. A therapist is supposed to be someone who you want to talk to because you have confidence that their input is going to help you understand, change, or let go of what you need to in order to move forward in life. Terrence has changed what my expectations are in a therapist to a whole new level. On my busiest days, having session with him feels like I get a scheduled break to talk to someone who genuinely cares that I am doing well. Whats going on in your head affects your body as well and since Ive been having weekly sessions with Terrence Im finally making time for things I love. Ive become more active and Ive learned how to create peaceful moments when I need them. I never ever feel like Im being judged by what I share. Sessions feel like Terrence is my life coach as well as my therapist. He keeps me looking forward to who I want to become mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Im a more confident person today because of realizations Ive made or learned about while attending sessions with him. Id highly recommend getting sessions with Terrence especially if youre someone who doesnt do well with being told what to do to solve things. Terrence has an amazing ability to help you figure things out on your own and at your own pace with his guidance. It doesnt feel like therapy and yet Im so proud of who I am today and how I have learned to handle the stressors in my life.
