Our entire family has been working with O'Brien and Panchuk ever since we moved to Coachella Valley in 2018, and we have experienced nothing but the best service year after year. They have been instrumental in helping me save money, both with my personal and business taxes. Their expertise and attention to detail and second to none.

I do not recommend O'Brien and Panchuk. My husband sat down with Max Panchuk on two separate occasions to explain our situation. We both talked to Max Panchuk on the phone on two more occassions. There was zero follow up regarding what he promised to check on for us, and as near as we can tell there was no information shared about our situation with the person who actually worked on our tax return. We had given Max a LOT of detail regarding what we were looking for in a CPA, explained that this was our first year going between two states as snow birds, that we'd welcome any deduction advice. We gave him examples of what we would like to know since we have homes in two states and operate a small business. To be honest, $6700 later they did what we could have done ourselves on Turbo Tax, or at least had H&R Block do for a lot less money. I would recommend that this firm invest in a CRM so that important details about clients can be recorded securely and everyone in the office has access to those details. To be honest, it felt like nobody at their firm could remember or was aware of our situation every time we heard from them. Heres an idea: close to new clients if your service model is suffering! That would leave them with a lot less bitterness.

The staff is first rate and extremely customer service oriented. Everyone answers the phone and sounds very happy. Really puts you at ease.

We felt completely duped by this firm. The initial meetings with Max Panchuk were full of promise and we felt we would be in good hands. Then those promises were quickly forgotten. Candice, the actual accountant who began processing our tax returns, did not seem to know anything about our situation or even care. She was ready to take our uploaded income statements and other documents, fill in the blanks on the return with those crunched numbers, and file the returns without any regard. When we raised concerns about all this, we got phone calls and more promises from Max. Same results as the first few meetings: broken promises. Now the firm is reaching out to us regarding re-engaging their services for our 2023 returns. After spending $6,700 for our 2022 returns and getting this experience, that wont be happening.
