I have not been inside the bakery in a very long time and because I was in town I decided to come check it out. Back in the mid 1990's, It was a place I frequently went to pick up cakes. My mom loved their cakes and fillings. I was somewhat disappointed that all they had available was a few muffins, pies, crossiants and tarts in the case. If you wanted a cake you needed to place the order a few weeks in advance. I was hoping to pick one up last minute. The Bakery seemed to be very sparse. They had available a few packaged cookies; mexican wedding traditional or lemon but not the Yankee Doodle Bakery I remember. They seem to focus more on breads. The sourdough Jalapeo cheese bread I purchased was delicious. It had just the right amount of heat. And the lemon cookies all dissapeared quickly. I do understand that alot has changed since covid, and maybe 2 years ago the operations were different. I will still stop by occasionally when I'm in town and if I remember to call ahead to order a cake. But unfortunately grabbing it last minute is not an option.

I was so disappointed with the cake, not the bakery I remembered. Definitely will never return and do not recommend.

We couldn't resist the delicious smell wafting from the bakery, so we decided to try it out and let me tell you it was sooo worth it. We got 2 loaves and it was super moist and delicious fresh out of the oven. Enrique was beyond helpful and was nice enough to let us have an extra loaf for free. We got the banana chocolate chip, lemon (free), and the carrot. OMG all delicious!

This bakery is terrible.  I went to the Camarillo farmers market got cookies with a friend and she found a maggot inside her cookie baked into it! When we called the bakery they just said "go next week and get you money back". Absolutely disgusting.

Found this place's booth at the ventura farmers market a couple weeks ago and bought a loaf of cheddar sourdough bread. This is the best cheddar sourdough I've ever had and easily top 5 sourdough breads overall. Handily competes with any Bay area bread can't wait to get to the full bakery!
