        I have been doing business with McDonnell Nursery since moving to Orinda 17 years ago. I'm an avid gardener and am pretty particular about both quality of product and customer service when it comes to gardening. The staff at McDonnell Nursery hit the sweet spot beautifully. They sell high quality products at fair prices, are extremely knowledgable without being snooty or dismissive (an experience I've had with their unnamed competition in Lafayette!) and are just exceptionally nice to work with. Definitely the best nursery I know of!

        This is a terrific family owned nursery that has been in Orinda for many decades. The staff is always helpful and delightful to deal with and their rose classes are especially good.

        I was unfortunately..discriminated against!! I approached 2 older people that work there this morning and they both ignored me. Disappointing we still have to deal with this. Ill stick to my own Orchard Nursery in Lafayette ..at least there I am treated like a HUMAN BEING.

        Friendly and very helpful staff and a good selection of outdoor and indoor plants. They could up some of their garden art pieces, but this is a quibble.
