Oak Grove School

Oak Grove is a place where every child is met exactly where they are. This is one of the most powerful ways to raise inquisitive, healthy adults. OGS is a caring, inclusive, open-minded community. Students are given opportunities to explore nature, the world, and themselves in ways few other schools are able to offer. It was my home for 8 years, and I still feel at home when I visit campus. Keep doing what you do best, and go Lizards!

People are always surprised to hear we relocated from one coast to the other so our son could attend Oak Grove School (starting in fifth grade). It was a great decision. Oak Grove honors each kid as an individual in their path of development in relationship with others and self. The campus is beautiful and allows the kids to learn, play and appreciate nature. As a preparatory school, I know my son is being challenged academically, but the focus is much more than that. It's not just social or emotional, but also a deep respect for inquiry and openness. I can't think of a better place for my child, who is thriving at Oak Grove.

I attended Oak Grove for nine years, graduating in 2015. It was an incredible place to grow up. Learning through exploration and discussion provided a balance of relationship and academia that is hard to achieve. After leaving Oak Grove, I was not only prepared for a UC education, but also for involvement in my community and world. Oak Grove taught me to question the world I live in deeply, and to seek to understand. I learned how to find connection with others and with nature. I would recommend Oak Grove to any family who is looking for a deeper meaning from education.

The learning curriculum is taught well, however The entire adult facility is not good at problem solving, they are quick to make decisions and aren't considerate of others thoughts .

Oak Grove School is such an outstanding environment for a child to learn, develop and flourish. It's faculty and staff are top notch and truly believe in the mission of the school.
