Himalayan Bistro Oceanside

Unfortunately I had very high hopes for this place based on the stellar reviews but I wont be going back and cant recommend. The experience we had was very bad. The food was oksome of the curries were pretty good but a lot of the other food was pretty bad. We were completely ignored and had to walk up to the counter the order anything and the general atmosphere was that our business wasnt appreciated. Service was 0/10, food 5/10. Also they started mopping the floor with very strong chemicals as we were eating and it was awful-my sister and I had to go outside for air. Too many other excellent options in the area I wont go back. Maybe takeout would be ok.

This was the most delicious Indian food I have ever had! The Tikka masala was divine. They have a wonderful lunch menu for $15 you get 2 small main courses, a tiny bit of pickled vegetables they call a salad, some jasmine rice and two pieces of naan. My only complaint is it said it was supposed to come with a dessert and there was no dessert. We forgot to ask It was so yummy I can't wait to return!

The staff is great. The food is so amazing. When we get a night out this is our go to. Today we had the lunch special it was a great value. Mango ice cream for dessert.
