Oceanside audiology was previously excellent. Now, it hands off the case and ignores my need for hearing aids. I waited for an appointment and got "you have wax In your ears" handoff. I had a second tier professional who squirted warm water in my ears, took my broken ear pieces, and I wait. I need new hearing aids that work. HELP! It's over a month now....

Ive been using the services at the Oceanside Clinic since it was first built and find the support staff and doctors professional and helpful. As with any bureaucracy, it is my responsibility to be clear, ask specific questions and to follow up using the patient web protal. If you need to call and speak with someone about a medical issue NOW, call the nurse line. Start with the number on the back of your VA ID card if you do not know who to call. Keep a record of who you speak with and what is said. We also have quality support and benefits counseling services available at the local VA Vets Centers AND the County of San Diego Veterans Service Offices. My suggestion: Be patient and yes tenacious too. From a combat Nam vet.
