Oceanside Adventist Elementary

Our two children have been educated through OAE and we couldnt imagine a better school experience.  If you are looking for a christian based, family focused, nurturing school with great acedemics, this is the place for you.  The teachers are committed and parent engaged, which shows in our kids success.

We love OAE. I have 3 kids who have been going here for the last 5 years - one just graduated 8th grade last year. It's a small, family-like environment for the kids where the parents help to make school lunches and the teachers and staff are like a second family. We like that the class sizes are small and there's a focus on Christ-centered values. We also like that the teachers are flexible to meet kids at different learning levels and styles. They really do accommodate to kids to meet them where they're at - which is not something we got before. We left a high-rated Montessori school to come here and have never been happier. It's also really budget friendly too - they keep the cost down to make it affordable for the local community.OAE also has an art program, music ministry, and extracurricular activities like soccer. My older children have enjoyed the electives that the school has offered the last few years like cooking, woodworking, photography, chess club, and calligraphy.

I wanted to write a follow-up review since this school year I had my second daughter attending Kindergarten with Mrs Holcombe. Mrs Holcombe is so amazing with the kids, she can teach/instruct/lead the little 5-6 year olds in a way that is empowering yet teaches them respect and listening skills. I have seen my daughter grow this year and show a great hunger in learning! Our older daughter also excelled this year with her teacher, Mrs Rich. Our 2nd grader was in a combo class of 2nd/3rd graders this year, not sure what to expect or how she would do in that environment, but I would have to say that now we are at the end of the year, it worked well and my daughter excelled!  We witnessed the teachers working together to provide the appropriate reading & math skills for the kids based on where there are at. With all this individual attention, we applaud the teachers for their flexibility and we love seeing the growth in our kids!  We are looking forward to both daughters attending OAE for all their elementary school! Thank you OAE for providing a safe and affordable place for my family! We love and appreciate you all!

This school is God sent! The classes are small and the teachers are professional, and care very much for their students. It is like a small community of teachers and parents that love and nurture the children and their families. A bonus is the affordable tuition! Can't recommend this school enough!
