Food by Chef D

Chef D prepared a memorable dinner during our recent family vacation in Carlsbad. The five-course meal he crafted was absolutely incredible. Not only did he skillfully curate a menu that catered to our group's dietary restrictions, but he also provided invaluable assistance throughout the entire process. This dining experience undoubtedly became the highlight of our trip, and we are looking forward to booking Chef D's services again in the future! Thank you Chef D!!

Highly impressed! Would book with Chef Darrell again in a heartbeat. We asked Chef Darrell to cook a dinner for my dads birthday and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. From our very first conversation to the end of the event, he made everything so easy and was extremely helpful with the whole process. He had so many great options on his menu and was willing to work with us if we wanted to be creative with something else. Communication was a breeze. I love that the ingredients he used were mostly organic and fresh from local farms. He went above and beyond by making these ricotta filled squash blossoms that were gorgeous to look at and delicious. Every course was superb - hors doeuvres were plenty and hit the spot, the salad was refreshing, the main course of short ribs were extremely tender and the best Ive ever had, the sides complemented it perfectly - the polenta was such a satisfying comfort food, and the dessert was a great ending to a fantastic meal. The salmon he made for the littles ones was pure perfection. He is very talented, easygoing, and showcases both flavor and presentation in his work. Such an amazing experience and Im so happy we went with Chef Darrell. Thank you Chef Darrell! Were looking forward to booking with you again!

Chef D was amazing! He curated a beautiful and extremely delicious dinner for our small family gathering. Everything was made from scratch, so fresh, and all of the veggies were locally sourced! Would highly recommend Darrell and his amazing mud pie!!

I just had one of the best meals of my life prepared by Chef D at the Grand Blanc Maison. The scallops were to die for atop of the cauliflower mash. The pasta was delicious. It was amazing to see him make the dough & shape each pasta piece. I loved how he also completely accommodated vegan scallops for the non seafood eaters. His heart goes into every meal he makes! If you book him I promise you wont he disappointed!
